Thurrock – Qualified Social Worker – Community Team

Adult Social Care Community Led Support Team. 37 hours per week Monday - Friday fully time position, for qualified Social Worker, to work in the community and home base.

Commitment to the principles of agile working including the ability to work flexibly with regards to both hours of work and location of work including remote and home working as required.

Responsibilities
  • Communicates effectively with colleagues and other professionals.
  • Works on own initiative, prioritises, works under pressure, and manages time effectively.
  • Demonstrates negotiation and advocacy skills.
  • Maintains high professional standards and behaviours.
  • Provides support and guidance to develop the work of colleagues by example and discussion.
  • Able to deal with hostile and aggressive responses to social work intervention without putting their own safety at risk.
  • Able to lead workshops and training sessions for other staffing areas of practice development and skill enhancement.
  • Able to manage and drive forward new initiatives and service development programmes.
