Vetro Recruitment is recruiting a Qualified Residential Support Worker for a 4-bed children’s home in Burton-on-Trent. This full-time role involves supporting children to achieve positive outcomes and promoting independence in a caring, structured environment.

Responsibilities include personal care, education and health support, health and safety checks, and safeguarding. Sleep-in duties may be required; a full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in care or support roles preferred.
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence is required.
• Knowledge of residential care principles is beneficial.
• Makaton or PECs is desirable.
• Level 3 or 4 in Residential Child Care or willingness to work towards it.
• Ability to work shifts, including sleep-in duties.
• Valid Right To Work in the UK.

Qualified Residential Support Worker

Location: Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire, West Midlands, DE14 2XX

Salary: Up to £28,100 per annum (including sleep-in allowance)

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are seeking a dedicated Residential Support Worker to join our expanding team at a 4-bed children’s home in Burton-on-Trent. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and young people, working within a supportive and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

As a Residential Support Worker based in Burton-on-Trent, your daily duties will include:

• Supporting children and young people to achieve positive outcomes and promote independence.
• Engaging in practical activities such as play, cooking, personal care, and supporting educational and health needs.
• Assisting with personal care tasks, including hygiene, dressing, and feeding, as required.
• Conducting health and safety checks and maintaining the home environment.
• Managing behaviour and supporting care planning in line with OFSTED standards and regulations.
• Working in partnership with other agencies and attending reviews as needed.

Requirements & Qualifications

To be successful as a Residential Support Worker, you will need:

• Level 3 or 4 in Residential Child Care (Children and Young People’s Workforce), or a willingness to work towards this.
• Ability to work shifts, including sleep-in duties.
• Valid Right To Work in the UK.
