Job summary

A local NHS organization is looking for qualified PWPs in Liskeard to deliver high-quality psychological interventions for patients facing mental health challenges. This role includes engaging in community outreach, providing clinical services, and maintaining patient confidentiality. Responsibilities

We are currently recruiting a qualified PWP to work in county, as part of an exciting expansion which has quality patient care and staff wellbeing at the heart of it. You will be joining a friendly and enthusiastic team who are striving towards gold standard ways of working. Part‑time and full‑time positions available.

Qualifications
  • Completed PWP training from an accredited Low Intensity course
  • Experience working in the stepped care model delivering Low Intensity Psychological Interventions to patients experiencing mild to moderate common mental health difficulties
  • Current PWP registration
  • Commitment to equal opportunities and ability to work with people from different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary
Key responsibilities
  • Provide clinical contacts 1:1 face‑to‑face, over the telephone, video consultation, and group courses (remotely and in person), and CBT
  • Ensure step‑ups and safe onward referrals to step 3 and/or step 4 clinicians, maintaining patient dignity and confidentiality at all times
  • Participate in evening clinics offered by the service between 5 pm and 8 pm, and be available at any time between 8 am and 8 pm on weekdays as required by the service
  • Engage in community outreach work to promote the services to other services, educational settings, and careers events
  • Work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and committing to equal opportunities
  • Assist in developing good links with Primary Care Networks and secondary care mental health teams
About the role

As a PWP you play an integral part in the everyday workings of the service, from promotional work to assessing patients to providing clinical evidence‑based interventions that help service users make lasting changes in managing their mental health.

The post-holder will work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equal opportunities.
