A leading mental health charity in England is seeking a qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to provide assessments and treatments for individuals facing mild to moderate mental health issues. You will deliver supportive therapy using various formats including phone and video, focusing on ensuring empathetic care and collaboration across teams. Candidates should be qualified as PWPs and ideally accredited with a professional body. The role offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on patients’ wellbeing.
The purpose of this role is to provide assessments and a full range of evidence-based treatments in the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) guidelines to a caseload of step 2 patients with mild to moderate symptoms such as worry and low mood.
Treatment options include guided self-help, computerised Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (cCBT), webinars and workshops. These are delivered over the phone, video calls or zoom, and face to face appointments.
You will need to be enthusiastic about supporting people with empathy and have a strong understanding of mental health. We especially value those with personal experience of mental health conditions, such as anxiety or depression.
The NHS Talking Therapies Hampshire service is provided in partnership by Solent Mind and the Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. Psychological wellbeing practitioners are employed by Solent Mind to deliver low intensity support at step 2 of the stepped care model.
