Job description
Qualified Nursery Room Leader

Working pattern: Monday – Thursdays – Full Time – 7:30am – 6:00pm

Location: Croydon

Hourly rate: £13.50 per hour

Little Jannah Day Care Nursery is looking for a passionate and experienced Nursery Room Leader/Third in Charge who is enthusiastic and a team player. Little Jannah Day Care Nursery is registered for 22 children per a day.

Requirements
  • Minimum of a relevant and recognised Level 3 qualification
  • Evidence of ongoing personal development training
  • Desire to continue with professional development
  • Recent Paediatric First Aid certificate (Not Mandatory)
  • Awareness of Health & Safety and practical Hygiene issues
  • Experience of working in an early year setting
Main responsibilities
  • Work in partnership with parents, local childcare/education providers, health providers and all other agencies.
  • Take accountability of role modelling and empowering your staff team to deliver high standards of childcare.
  • To train and develop staff, supervising and supporting their professional development and day to day practice.
  • Ensuring continuous professional development of staff through regular, documented one to one meetings.
  • Implement regular room meetings.

Role details

Shut down over Christmas and one week in August.

The nursery is open Monday to Thursday from 7:30am to 6:00pm – 50 weeks per year.

Rotating shift pattern within opening hours.
