Job summary

Childbase Partnership Limited is seeking a Qualified Nursery Practitioner (Level 3 or above) for a permanent role at Nature Trails Day Nursery in Rugby. The position offers 20-40 hours per week across 52 weeks, with varied shifts 07:30–18:30 and options for 2, 3, 4 or 5 days.

The role requires EYFS expertise, safeguarding commitment and strong communication. Salary ranges from £28,412.80 to £32,427.20 per annum (pro‑rata) or £13.66–£15.59 per hour, plus a joining bonus of £2,000.

Qualifications

• Qualified early years professional with a DfE approved early years qualification at level 3 or above.
• Knowledge of the EYFS and ability to plan, assess and record children’s learning.
• Experience and commitment to safeguarding.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Full and relevant childcare qualification at Level 3 or above, in line with Department for Education Early Years qualification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Use your EYFS knowledge to work as a Key Person, planning and implementing high quality, engaging activities that promote learning through play.
• Observe, assess and record children’s progress.
• Ensure every child feels safe, valued, and happy and that their well‑being is promoted.
• Collaborate with children, parents and colleagues, effectively communicating and building strong and positive relationships.

Working pattern: Varied shifts Monday-Friday between 07:30-18:30 | Choose a 2,3,4 or 5 day week.

Salary: £28,412.80-£32,427.20 per annum (pro-rata) | £13.66-£15.59 per hour.

Contractual & Eligibility

• Must be contracted to work between 25‑40 hours per week.
• Applicants must currently reside within a commutable distance of the nursery and hold suitable Right to Work in the UK; VISA sponsorship is not available.

• Joining bonus is subject to successful completion of all pre‑employment checks and eligibility to work in the UK; subject to tax and National Insurance deductions where applicable.
