Job summary

Childbase Partnership’s Devonshire Day Nursery in Chiswick is seeking a Qualified Nursery Practitioner (Level 2 or above). This permanent role offers 18–40 hours per week across 52 weeks, with shifts 07:30–18:30, Monday to Friday.

Salary ranges from £29,473.60 to £34,590.40 per annum (pro-rata) or £14.17–£16.63 per hour. We are an employee-owned group delivering care with a focus on learning through play, safeguarding, and strong partnerships with families.

  • You are a qualified early years professional with an EYFSfocus.
  • You will plan and deliver high quality, engaging activities.
  • You will observe and record children’s progress and support safeguarding.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high quality learning activities for young children.
  • Observe, assess and record children's development as Key Person.
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of every child.
  • Collaborate with parents and colleagues to support learning.

Role: Qualified Nursery Practitioner (Level 2 or above).
Location: Devonshire Day Nursery | Chiswick | W4 2AH.
Contract: Permanent | 18-40 hours/week | 52 weeks/year.
Working pattern: Varied shifts Monday-Friday between 07:30-18:30 | Choose a 2-5 day week (full days).
Salary: £29,473.60-£34,590.40 per annum (pro-rata) | £14.17-£16.63 per hour.

About you

  • You are a qualified early years professional: You hold a DfE approved early years qualification at level 2 or above.
  • You are skilled in creating opportunities for learning: Your knowledge of the EYFS will enable you to work as a Key Person, planning and implementing high quality, engaging activities that promote learning through play; observing, assessing and recording children’s progress.
  • You are an advocate for safeguarding: You will ensure every child feels safe, valued, and happy and their well-being is promoted.
  • You are collaborative: You enjoy working in partnership with children, parents and colleagues, effectively communicating and building strong and positive relationships.
