A leading mental health care provider in the United Kingdom is seeking qualified Education Mental Health Practitioners. The role involves delivering evidence-based interventions for children and young people with mental health difficulties. Candidates should have completed the CYP IAPT course and possess skills in assessment and treatment. The position requires effective collaboration with families and educators. This role is crucial in promoting well-being and mental health support within educational settings.
The post-holder will deliver, under regular supervision, high-quality, outcome-informed, focused, evidence-based interventions for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate anxiety, low mood and behavioural difficulties.
This will include one-one work, group work, whole class, or larger assemblies.
The post holder will have the necessary knowledge, attitude and capabilities to ensure that children and young people will have access to timely, high quality, evidence based mental health support.
This post is for a qualified Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHP) who has completed the Child and Young Person's (CYP) Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) course.
The EMHP will have skills in assessment and treatment in delivering low intensity evidence-based interventions with CYP presenting with anxiety, low mood and behavioural difficulties. The EMHP will also deliver whole school approaches with a strong emphasis on participation with young people, their families and carers.
