A regional healthcare provider in Llanelli is looking for an enthusiastic Qualified Dental Nurse to join a professional dental team. We currently have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and adaptable Qualified Dental Nurse to join a highly motivated, professional and supportive dental team in providing Dental Care to the people of Carmarthenshire

This post will be based in our Elizabeth Williams Clinic Llanelli , however the ability to travel across sites in a timely manner is essential. This post is subject to a successful DBS and Occupational Health Screening.

Applicants must be GDC registered.

Main duties of the job

The Dental Nurse will be responsible for the provision of General Dental Nursing supporting clinicians in the delivery of Dental and Oral Health care to patients.

You should have extensive experience as a Qualified Dental Nurse, good communication and interpersonal skills along with an ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.

The successful candidate will have the responsibility for the coordination of the dental services within the fixed clinics.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and or/Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications and Knowledge

• Qualified Dental nurse or demonstrable competence through equivalent experience / NEB diploma level qualification
• GDC Registration
• Knowledge of Clinical Governance and Clinical Audit
• Recognised Oral Health Education Certificate

Experience

• Experience in providing clinical support to dentists and / or therapists
• Oral Health Education Stock control
• Safe disposal of waste
• Work within a Community Dental Service
• Conscious sedation, General Anaesthesia, special needs dentistry, orthodontics, laboratory techniques and radiography

Language Skills

• Welsh Speaker (Level 1)
