Qualified Art Teacher – Immediate Start (Long-Term Cover)

Location: West London

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm

Contract: Long-term cover, potentially until the end of the academic year

A well-established SEND school is seeking an engaging and dedicated Art Teacher to join their team immediately for a long-term cover role that may continue until the end of the academic year. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive specialist environment, delivering inspiring and accessible Art lessons to pupils with a range of additional needs. You will be joining a highly collaborative team focused on promoting creativity, confidence, and positive engagement through the arts.

Role Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver differentiated Art lessons tailored to SEND learners
  • Create an inclusive, nurturing classroom environment that supports emotional and academic development
  • Use a variety of creative mediums and practical activities to engage pupils
  • Work closely with support staff, therapists, and senior leadership to meet individual needs
  • Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies where necessary
  • Maintain strong behaviour management in line with school policies
  • Contribute to the wider school community and enrichment activities
Requirements
  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Art at secondary level (SEND experience highly desirable but not essential)
  • Strong understanding of differentiation and inclusive classroom practice
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A compassionate, patient, and flexible approach to learning
