Our client in Cupar, Fife, is seeking a Qualified Accountant to join their team. The role covers statutory and management accounts, tax compliance, and client-focused advisory services in a growing practice.

Ideal candidates will have 3–4 years post-qualification experience, strong accounting and tax skills, and be proficient with Xero, QuickBooks and Sage. Hybrid working can be considered for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Ideally 3–4 years post-qualification experience
• Strong technical competency in accounting, tax compliance and tax planning
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A high level of attention to detail
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a small team
• A proactive, deadline-driven approach
• A strong client-focused attitude
• Experience with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks and Sage
• Experience in agricultural accounting would be helpful, although it is not essential.

Responsabilités

• Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Preparing management accounts
• Preparing financial projections and financial analysis
• Reviewing and maintaining accurate accounting records, including bookkeeping reviews where required
• Assisting with and managing clients Making Tax Digital (MTD) requirements
• Preparing and reviewing VAT returns and ensuring VAT compliance
• Considering and advising on clients business tax positions
• Preparing and reviewing personal tax returns
• Building and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships
• Managing and coaching trainees

Qualified Accountant | Fife | Mon-Fri 9-5 | £45,000-£75,000 depending on experience

Our client is an established Fife-based firm, with offices in Cupar and St Andrews. The firm provides a range of professional accountancy, taxation, business consultancy and financial planning services, supporting individuals and businesses with practical, tailored advice.
