Smile Education are looking for a full-time Maths Teacher (with QTS) for a secondary school based in Melton Mowbray for two terms starting after Christmas.

What does the role involve?
  • Preparing Maths teaching and learning materials for KS3 and KS4 pupils
  • Providing guidance and advice to pupils on education and on their further education and careers
  • Providing feedback to students and parents, through consultation evenings, phone calls or written communication as appropriate
  • Contributing to department planning and self‑evaluation
  • Providing professional support to other teachers and support staff
  • Attending departmental and school meetings, either during or after the school day, as requested
What do you need?
  • An Maths‑related education degree
  • A valid QTS/PGCE
  • An enhanced DBS registered to the update service (If you do not hold this, we can arrange for you at a cost of £44, which is refundable once you have completed ten days in your new role.)
  • Knowledge of the UK Secondary Curriculum and the subjects
  • Able and willing to travel to the area – Melton Mowbray
  • 2 education‑based references
  • A passion for teaching
  • Good approach to behaviour management
  • A determined, hard‑working attitude

Immediate start is available.

The school can offer you security with the role as it is a long‑term position for at least2 academic terms.
