English Teacher - Long-Term Role in Rossendale (Temp to Perm)

Overview

We are currently recruiting for a qualified and experienced English teacher to join a mainstream secondary school in Rossendale after the October half term. This is a long-term position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

Start Date: ASAP - Week commencing Monday 3rd November 2025

Location: Rossendale, Lancashire

Contract Type: Long-term (Temp to Perm)

About the Role

• Teaching English across KS3 and KS4
• Full-time position in a mainstream secondary school
• Working within a supportive department with strong leadership
• Managing challenging behaviour effectively and positively

Candidate Requirements

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) - essential
• Experience teaching English at secondary level
• Proven ability to manage behaviour confidently and constructively
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
