Job description

As a Food Retail Auditor, you will be part of Intertek SAI Global business and will be travelling to client sites to conduct the audit for a variety of Food and Restaurant clients, including Fast Food chains, High Street Restaurants, and Commercial Food Venues on a zero-hours contract.

Key Responsibilities

• Be responsible for auditing some of the most well‑known names on the UK high street against the appropriate food safety, hygiene, and inter‑company standards.
• Conduct food safety, brand standards and workplace health and safety evaluations at client locations.
• Consult, coach and train clients on the latest food safety, health, and hygiene practices.
• Work with account management teams to resolve client challenges.
• Provide accurate reporting and ensure effective customer communication and relationships.
• Due to the nature of the role (flexible contract), access to own transport is essential and the role will involve both weekend and evening work.

Key Qualifications

• Background in Food Service or Retail Food; experience working in a retail, restaurant, or food factory/processing environment alongside auditing or conducting audits.
• Ideally, previous work experience in the Food Service industry with some exposure to Food Safety; full training can be provided.
• Level 2, 3 or Level 4 Food Safety qualification is advantageous.
• Level 2, 3 or Level 4 HACCP qualification is advantageous.
• Good working knowledge of Health and Safety in a Restaurant/Food environment.
• Mathematics and English GCSEs, or equivalent, are essential.
• Full UK Driving licence and own car.
