Job summary

MacDermid Alpha Electronics Solutions, a business segment of Element Solutions Inc., is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join our Glenrothes site. You will champion quality standards across manufacturing, engineering and customer teams to ensure products meet customer and regulatory requirements.

The role offers a competitive base salary starting from £41,348 per annum, plus a performance bonus, Life Assurance, Private Medical Cover and Health Cash Plan.

• Experience with Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001 or ISO 16949) and internal auditor qualifications.
• Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving using structured methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills; proficient IT skills; able to adapt to changing priorities.

Who are we looking for?

We now have an opportunity for an experienced Quality Engineer to join our team in Glenrothes.

We are seeking a motivated and ambitious quality professional who will champion quality standards across the business whilst supporting our environmental and safety management systems. The successful candidate will work closely with manufacturing, engineering and customer teams to ensure products consistently meet customer and regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate will be joining a well-established organisation where we will be able to provide the suitable candidates with a full training programme and support to develop valuable skills and establish themselves as a valued member of the Team. They will be asked to participate in continuous improvement exercises that will improve their work areas and give them a sense of ownership.

Who are You?

We are ideally looking for someone educated to HND level or equivalent who has successfully held a similar quality engineering role and can demonstrate a strong track record in the application and continuous improvement of quality systems.

What competencies will you need?

• Experience of Quality Management Systems, preferably ISO 9001 or ISO16949.
• Internal auditor qualification
• Quality systems knowledge, including SPC, Gage R&R, MSA, FMEAs, PPAP etc.
• Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills using structured methodologies.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Good interpersonal skills and skillful negotiator.
• Good IT skills.
• Flexible in approach to work and able to adapt to quickly changing priorities.
• Project management skills
• LEAN six-sigma skills
• Understanding of designated product group.

Desirable Qualifications And Experience

• Working knowledge of ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems.
• Participation in or leadership of ISO 14001 audits.
• Experience supporting environmental improvement initiatives.
• Knowledge of semiconductor, photomask or high-technology manufacturing environments.
• Experience of developing and improving management systems.
