Job summary

A leading automotive company in Plymouth is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to develop and maintain quality management systems in compliance with international standards. You will implement safety management systems, organize audits, and train teams on best practices. The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree, knowledge of quality methods in the automotive industry, and experience in motorsport. Strong communication skills are essential for this role.

Qualifications

  • Good knowledge of quality methods in the Automotive industry.
  • Experience in Motorsport or High Performance Vehicles is preferred.
  • Fluent in English with a willingness to learn French.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain quality management systems compliant with ISO standards.
  • Implement and maintain safety management systems.
  • Organise and carry out internal QHSE audits.
  • Train teams on QHSE best practices.
  • Analyse QHSE performance indicators and propose improvements.

Your missions :

  • Quality assurance:

Develop, implement and maintain the quality management system in compliance with international standards (ISO 9001, etc.).

Ensuring product quality control throughout the manufacturing process, both internally and externally with our suppliers and customers.

  • Safety and risk prevention:

Implement and maintain safety management systems to ensure a safe working environment.

Identify, assess and prevent risks related to production processes.

Ensure compliance with local and international environmental regulations (ISO 14001, REACH regulations, etc.).

Promote initiatives aimed at reducing the company's ecological footprint.

  • Audit management:

Organising and carrying out internal QHSE audits.

Participating in external audits and monitoring corrective and preventive actions.

  • Training and awareness-raising:

Train and raise awareness among teams on QHSE best practices, guarantee their compliance and ensure the continuous updating of QHSE processes and procedures.

Working with the various departments to identify areas for continuous improvement in terms of quality, safety and the environment.

  • Performance monitoring:

Analysing QHSE performance indicators, preparing regular reports for management and proposing actions for improvement.

Your profile :

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant engineering area or quality related field
  • Good knowledge and understanding of quality methods and tools used in the Automotive industry
  • Experience in Motorsport or High Performance Vehicles
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Self‐starter with the ability to work with high level instruction and seek out data and support from other teams
  • Team‐oriented with excellent communication skills and the ability to challenge others
  • Fluent English and willingness to learn French
