Job summary

A leading engineering and manufacturing organization is seeking a QHSE Manager to oversee Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental management. This hands-on role involves managing ISO certifications, leading audits, and implementing strategies for operational efficiency. Candidates must have proven experience in QHSE management within a manufacturing environment and a strong understanding of ISO9001 and ISO14001 systems. Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a QHSE or similar management role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Strong understanding of ISO9001 and ISO14001 systems.
  • IOSH or NEBOSH qualification and Auditor Training are highly advantageous.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday - 37.5 hours per week (with some flexibility).

Job Description

As the QHSE Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental management across the site. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is a hands‑on, operational role focused on maintaining compliance, improving systems, and promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

The QHSE Manager will manage ISO9001 and ISO14001 certifications, coordinate audits, and ensure that all QHSE processes align with company objectives and customer expectations. You will lead investigations into non‑conformances, support risk assessments, and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively.

A key part of the QHSE Manager role is to analyse performance data, identify areas for optimisation, and implement strategies that enhance operational efficiency and sustainability. You will work closely with teams across production, supply chain, and engineering to ensure compliance, consistency, and quality excellence.

Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in a QHSE or similar management role within a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Strong understanding of ISO9001 and ISO14001 systems, certification, and audit processes
  • Practical experience using quality tools such as 8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone, and Root Cause Analysis
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills
  • Competence with Microsoft Office and MRP/ERP systems
  • IOSH or NEBOSH qualification and Auditor Training (highly advantageous)
