Job summary

Millbank Holdings Ltd is seeking an experienced QC Laboratory Technician to join its quality control team in a busy manufacturing environment. You will perform in-process, incoming and final product testing to ensure materials and finished products meet strict specifications.

A Chemistry qualification (BTEC/HNC or equivalent Level 4) and experience in an industrial laboratory are essential. You will support calibration programmes, maintain records, investigate quality issues and collaborate with

• Understanding of ISO systems and process environments.

Are you an experienced Laboratory Technician looking for a hands-on quality control role within a manufacturing environment?

Do you have experience carrying out product testing, calibration activities and quality inspections to ensure products meet strict specifications?

The Opportunity

A leading manufacturing organisation is seeking a QC Laboratory Technician to join its Quality Control team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with laboratory testing experience and a strong attention to detail who wants to play a key role in ensuring product quality, compliance and continuous improvement across site operations.

The Role

This role would suit candidates working in these roles; QC Laboratory Technician, Quality Control Technician, Laboratory Analyst, QC Analyst, Chemical Laboratory Technician, Process Quality Technician, Materials Testing Technician, Quality Assurance Technician, Laboratory Assistant, Production Laboratory Technician.

We would also welcome applications from these industries; Chemical manufacturing, process industries, pharmaceuticals, food and beverage manufacturing, coatings and materials production.

Your duties and responsibilities will be

• Perform in-process, incoming and final product testing to ensure materials and finished products meet required quality standards and specifications.
• Prepare customer and pre-dispatch samples, maintaining accurate records and supporting documentation at all times.
• Support laboratory improvement projects, maintain calibration programmes and assist with training colleagues on testing procedures and best practice.
• Investigate quality issues, identify non-conforming materials or processes and support corrective actions, rework activities and root cause investigations.
• Work closely with production and technical teams, providing quality-related guidance while ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality management requirements.

You will have the following qualifications and experience

• BTEC, HNC or equivalent Level 4 qualification in Chemistry or a closely related scientific discipline.
• Experience working within a busy industrial, manufacturing or quality control laboratory environment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to accurately complete laboratory records, reports and quality documentation.
• Knowledge of laboratory equipment calibration, testing procedures and quality assurance processes, with troubleshooting experience being advantageous.
• Understanding of chemical or process manufacturing environments, with familiarity of ISO management systems, COMAH sites or root cause analysis methodologies considered beneficial.
