Job summary

A global energy job board in Lichfield is seeking a candidate to perform visual and dimensional inspections of manufactured products in accordance with industry standards. Candidates should have a strong engineering background and knowledge of piping materials, manufacturing practices, and technical drawings. Qualifications

  • Input data into approved dimensional templates.
  • Liaise with client and third party inspectors.
  • Maintain the calibration log for equipment.
  • Support the day-to-day operations of the QA and production departments.

Job Description

Duties:

  • Perform final visual and dimensional inspection of manufactured products in accordance with industry standards, for example ASME B16.9.
  • Perform in-process visual and dimensional inspection of manufactured products in accordance with industry standards, for example ASME B16.9.
  • Input data into approved dimensional templates to determine product compliance.
  • Raise NCR's to identify product concerns or non-conformance.
  • Liaise with client and third party inspectors on witness final inspection activities.
  • Present at daily NDT/Inspection meetings to discuss QC concerns and findings and review the daily inspection requirements from the HSEQ Supervisor.
  • Maintain the calibration log for externally calibrated and internally calibrated equipment.
  • Carry out internal calibration of metrology equipment.
  • Support the day-to-day operations of the QA, technical and production departments.
  • Review specification database for up-to-date revisions.
  • Measurement of sub-contracted products for compliance of final process activities.
