Job summary

L.J.B & Co. Construction Recruitment seeks a QA/QC Lead for a Data Centre project in Blyth. You will implement and manage QA/QC systems, ensuring compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements.

Lead ITPs, documentation, and handovers, coordinate with civil, structural and MEP teams, and mentor on-site QA/QC engineers to uphold high standards and timely delivery for critical milestones.

Qualifications

• Must have degree level qualifications or equivalent trades background.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in QA/QC on large scale construction projects, including data centres.
• Must be based within a commutable distance of Blyth.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA/QC systems across all construction phases to meet specs, standards, and regs.
• Oversee ITPs, quality docs, and handovers with accuracy and on schedule.
• Coordinate with civil, structural and MEP teams to drive right‑first‑time delivery.
• Mentor QA/QC engineers and inspectors to maintain high standards and improvements.
• Interface with clients, consultants, and supply chain to meet milestones.

QAQC Lead – Data Centre – Blyth

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and management of the project QA/QC systems, ensuring full compliance with specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements across all construction phases
• Oversee inspection and test plans (ITPs), quality documentation, and handover processes, ensuring timely completion, accuracy, and alignment with commissioning and client expectations
• Coordinate with civil, structural, and MEP teams to drive a right‑first‑time culture, proactively identifying risks, resolving non‑conformances, and implementing corrective actions
• Manage and mentor QA/QC engineers and inspectors on site, promoting high standards, accountability, and continuous improvement across all work packages
• Interface with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners to ensure quality objectives are clearly communicated, executed, and delivered in line with critical project milestones

Requirements

• Must have relevant degree level qualifications or equivalent trades background
• Must have 8+ years’ experience in a similar role on large scale construction projects including Data Centres
• Must be based within a commutable distance of Blyth
