Job summary

CBSbutler is hiring a hands-on QA Tester for our ITEC Data Exploitation programme, on a 6-month contract in Telford with a hybrid setup of 2 days on-site. The role is inside IR35 and offers a daily rate of £386.94.

We seek someone who thrives in a fast-paced Agile environment and wants to contribute to work that matters. Active SC clearance and ISTQB certification are required, with strong SQL/Oracle and ETL experience.

Qualifications

• Active SC security clearance required.
• ISTQB Foundation certification.
• Experience with SQL and Oracle databases.
• Experience in data migration testing.
• Familiar with Postman, JIRA, Zephyr Scale, and GIT.
• AWS exposure; ETL and integration testing experience.
• Background in Agile delivery.
• Ability to turn ambiguous requirements into test scripts.

Responsibilities

• Join a high-impact Agile delivery team on a critical Data Exploitation programme.
• Drive functional, system, and integration testing across data warehouses, data marts, and ETL pipelines.
• Write test approaches and build coverage matrices.
• Automate testing where appropriate.
• Provide clear, honest status reporting to stakeholders.
• Turn ambiguous requirements into airtight test scripts.
