Leo Recruitment Limited is seeking a QA Test Engineer to join a growing software team in the Glasgow area. The role is full-time, permanent, with hybrid working and a salary of £35-£40k, depending on experience, plus benefits.

You’ll work across web, mobile and API projects, combining manual testing with automation while collaborating with developers, product specialists and DevOps to improve test coverage and release confidence.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of QA methodologies and the software testing lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience of both manual and automated testing across web, mobile and/or API environments.
• Ability to create structured test cases and communicate defects and test outcomes clearly.
• Experience managing test plans and defects within a modern software development workflow.
• SQL knowledge for database validation and testing.
• Experience working within an Agile or Scrum environment.
• Familiarity with tools or technologies such as Jira, Postman, Selenium and AWS would be useful.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with developers, product specialists and DevOps to shape test coverage and identify risks.
• Contribute to testing strategies across web, mobile and API platforms; blend manual, exploratory and automated approaches.
• Support reliability, security and performance goals by ensuring quality is built in, not inspected in at the end of delivery.
• Help drive continuous improvement through feedback and defect resolution across the SDLC.

QA Test Engineer – Full-time, Permanent

Location: Currently East Kilbride - moving to Central Glasgow (4 days per week onsite)

Salary: £35-40,000 per annum, negotiable depending on experience, plus benefits
