Quality Assurance Technician

Location: Edenbridge


Salary: £25,350 per annum + excellent benefits including 24 days holiday + Bank Holidays, Pension, Private Medical (following probation), Bonus, and excellent training and development opportunities.



Job Type: Full-time / 7.00am -3.30pm Monday-Friday. 8am/8.30 start time also available and whilst in training.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Assurance Technician to join our successful client in Edenbridge. In this role, you will ensure that all packaging materials and finished goods meet strict quality and safety standards, supporting compliance with BRCGS Packaging, ISO 9001, and food industry regulations.



Key Responsibilities



  • Carry out routine inspections on raw materials, in-process production, and final packaged goods




  • Perform visual quality checks using colour standards, product samples, and reference specifications




  • Accurately document inspection results and complete all required quality and traceability records




  • Identify and report non-conformances; assist in investigations and root cause analysis




  • Support the development and implementation of Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPA)




  • Promote a strong food safety and quality culture in collaboration with production and engineering teams




  • Ensure full compliance with BRCGS Packaging Materials Standard, ISO 9001, GMP, and food safety standards




  • Participate in internal audits, hygiene inspections, and continuous improvement projects





Candidate Requirements



  • Previous experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or a technical role within food or packaging sectors




  • Solid understanding of BRC, ISO 9001, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)




  • Excellent attention to detail with a methodical and analytical approach




  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools for reporting and record-keeping




  • Clear communicator with strong teamwork and interpersonal skills




  • Dependable, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
