Job summary

Cooper Lomaz Recruitment Ltd in Attleborough is seeking an experienced QA Supervisor for a night shift in a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment. You will own quality and food safety on nights, ensuring products meet customer specs and regulatory standards.

You will lead a small QA team, drive continuous improvement, support HACCP and BRCGS compliance, analyse KPIs and work closely with Production and Technical teams to build a strong quality culture.

Qualifications

• Degree in Food Science or related discipline
• HACCP Level 4 qualification (desirable)
• Proven QA experience in food manufacturing (FMCG/high-risk)
• Strong knowledge of BRCGS, GMP, HACCP and allergen management
• Experience leading and developing a QA team
• Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills
• Ability to interpret quality data and drive improvements

Responsibilities

• Taking ownership of the Quality function on night shift as lead authority on quality matters
• Ensure compliance with BRCGS, GMP, HACCP, allergen management and food safety legislation
• Lead, motivate and develop a team of QA Technologists
• Promote proactive food safety and quality culture across production areas
• Monitor quality KPIs and perform root-cause analysis to implement improvements
• Manage quality incidents, non-conformances and corrective actions
• Drive continuous improvement in a high-volume manufacturing environment
• Support Operational Excellence initiatives and the Technical strategy

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced food manufacturing professional to take ownership of quality, food safety and technical compliance within a fast-paced FMCG environment.

As the senior Quality representative on night shift, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the highest standards, developing a strong food safety culture and ensuring our products consistently meet customer, regulatory and business expectations.

Working closely with Production and Technical teams, you will lead by example, develop your team and drive continuous improvement across all aspects of quality and food safety.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Taking ownership of the Quality function on night shift, acting as the lead authority on all quality and food safety matters.
• Ensuring compliance with BRCGS standards, GMP, HACCP, allergen management and all relevant food safety legislation.
• Leading, motivating and developing a team of Quality Technologists, providing clear direction, coaching and support.
• Promoting a proactive food safety and quality culture across all production areas.
• Monitoring quality performance, analysing KPIs and using root cause analysis to identify and implement improvements.
• Managing quality incidents, non-conformances and corrective actions, ensuring effective resolution and prevention of recurrence.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Supporting the delivery of Operational Excellence (OPEX) initiatives and the wider Technical strategy.
• Working collaboratively with Production teams to ensure quality standards are understood, maintained and consistently achieved.
• Ensuring products meet customer specifications, brand expectations and regulatory requirements.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who combines strong technical knowledge with confident leadership and a hands-on approach.

Ideally, you will have:

• A degree or equivalent qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, Quality Management or a related discipline.
• HACCP Level 4 qualification (desirable).
• Proven experience in a Quality Assurance role within food manufacturing, FMCG or a high-risk production environment.
• Strong working knowledge of BRCGS, GMP, HACCP, allergen management and food safety legislation.
• Previous experience leading, supervising or developing a Quality team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with experience in investigations, audits and root cause analysis.
• The ability to interpret quality data, monitor KPIs and translate findings into meaningful improvements.
• Strong communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to challenge and support colleagues at all levels.
• A proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
