Job description

MK Search are currently working with a leading M&E contractor with a turnover of £400m and a strong presence across sectors who are looking for a QA/QC Manager to join their team on a brand new data centre project they have secured in Hemel Hempstead. They will act as Principal Contractor on the scheme with full ownership of the £97m package.

Responsibilities

• Establish and implement a comprehensive QA/QC program tailored to the project specific requirements including policies, procedures, and inspection protocols.
• Present the project quality plan for approval to the client.
• Establish quality standards & criterion ensuring alignment with project specifications, codes, and standards.
• Manage regular inspections of project installations to verify compliance with design drawings, specifications, and regulations.
• Carry out quality control checks and tests on equipment & systems.
• Coordinate with engineers, internal teams, and stakeholders to conduct inspections as needed and review testing reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Lay out and maintain detailed records of QA/QC activities including inspection reports and corrective actions.
• Arrange comprehensive QA/QC documentation for inclusion in project closeout packages and ensure that all required documentation is complete and accurate.
• Preparation of weekly/ monthly QA/QC reports from inspections including issues found and corrective actions implemented.

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management or related field.
• 5+ years' experience in QA/QC Management roles preferably in healthcare/ hospital projects.
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC systems, attention to details, and best practices.
• Proven communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• Strong knowledge of Quality Management software and tools.
