Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking a SITE QA/QC ENGINEERING/INSPECTOR to manage inspection activities across the discipline on site in the United Kingdom. The role involves coordinating final certifications and handover packages, performing surveillances, and ensuring contractor ITPs align with project requirements.

The successful candidate will coordinate with client representatives and specialist subcontractors (NDT, PWHT), while maintaining compliance with QA procedures and HSE policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in engineering inspection and QA/QC activities.
• Knowledge of engineering construction practices, codes and regulations.
• Experience coordinating inspections with clients and vendors.
• IOSH and/or CCNSG qualification obtained and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Manage inspection activities for the discipline.
• Prepare and maintain Final Certification and System Handover Packages.
• Carry out surveillances and inspections per QA plans and procedures.
• Ensure Contractors ITPs comply with project requirements.
• Liaise with Client representatives at all inspection levels.
• Coordinate with NDT and PWHT sub-contractors and monitor HSE aspects.
• Present inspection activities at client review meetings.
• Interface with vendors and suppliers.
• Comply with company and project HSE policy.

Job description

JOB TITLE: SITE QA/QC ENGINEERING/INSPECTOR

RESPONSIBLE TO: Site Construction Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Overall management of the inspection activities applicable to discipline
• Preparation and maintenance of Final Certification and System Handover Packages by disciplines.
• Carry out surveillances and inspections in accordance with the Company and Project Quality Plans and procedures.
• Ensuring Contractors Inspection Test Plans are fully compliant to Company and Client's Project requirements.
• Liaison with Client's Representatives on all levels of inspection.
• Co-ordination and liaison with specialist contractors i.e. NDT and PWHT sub-contractors including monitoring of all associated HSE aspects.
• Presentation of inspection activities at Review Meetings held with the Client.
• Interface with Vendors
• Comply with Company and Project HSE Policy.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• IOSH and/or CCNSG qualification
• Appropriate engineering inspection experience in the particular discipline
• Thorough knowledge of Engineering Construction Practices, Codes and Regulations related to manufacturing activities.
• Inspection qualifications as applicable to discipline.
