Job summary

A leading Glazed Partitioning Specialist Contractor in Central London is looking for an experienced Contract QA / QC Inspector to uphold quality standards across high-profile commercial projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance with key responsibilities including conducting inspections, documenting defects, and coordinating remedial actions. This fixed-term contract starting in March 2026 offers a competitive day rate with the potential for permanent employment. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Contract QA / QC Inspector – Glazed Partitioning / Facades

Our client, a leading Glazed Partitioning Specialist Contractor based in Central London, is currently seeking an experienced Contract QA / QC Inspector to ensure the highest standards of quality throughout their high-profile commercial projects. This fixed-term contract, commencing March 2026, offers an excellent opportunity for a detail‑oriented professional with a strong background in Quality Assurance within the partitioning, curtain walling, or joinery sectors to contribute to premium project deliverables, with potential for permanent conversion for the right candidate.

Requirements
  • Proven experience as a QA / QC Inspector or similar role within construction, specifically in partitioning systems, curtain walling, or joinery installations.
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance processes, standards, and procedures relevant to glazed partitioning and facades projects.
  • Proficiency with digital snagging systems (SnagR platform experience highly advantageous).
  • Excellent attention to detail with a methodical approach to quality control and defect documentation.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise professionally with site teams, clients, main contractors, and project stakeholders.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and building regulations.
  • Valid CSCS card holder (minimum requirement).
Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough quality inspections of all completed glazed partitioning installations to verify compliance with project specifications.
  • Document defects, snags, and non‑conformances accurately using the SnagR digital platform.
  • Coordinate and oversee remedial works with site operatives and subcontractors to ensure timely resolution of quality issues.
  • Act as the key quality liaison between installation teams, client representatives, and main contractor stakeholders.
  • Produce comprehensive quality reports and maintain accurate inspection records and photographic evidence.
  • Attend project progress meetings and provide quality status updates to relevant parties.
  • Monitor adherence to health & safety protocols during all inspection activities.
  • Ensure all completed works meet the highest standards and comply with specifications, drawings, and industry regulations.
