Job summary

Dome Group is seeking an experienced QA Manager/Resident Engineer for a landmark Cardiff development. You will act as the quality and technical lead, ensuring works align with drawings, specs, and programmes while resolving issues with the project team.

You will manage NCRs, drive quality control, and liaise with clients, consultants and contractors to ensure successful handover on a high-profile hospitality and entertainment project.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as QA Engineer/QA Manager or Resident Engineer.
• Experience in construction, MEP or building services.
• Experience on major commercial/hospitality/entertainment projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction quality processes and documentation.
• Experience managing NCRs, defects and inspections.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and project docs.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Proactive approach to drive quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Carry out site inspections and monitor construction/installation works.
• Ensure works meet drawings, specs, ITPs and standards.
• Review quality docs, inspection records and test certificates.
• Identify defects and drive their resolution.
• Raise/manage NCRs and ensure close-out of corrective actions.
• Coordinate with contractors to maintain high workmanship standards.
• Liaise with design, engineering and commissioning teams.
• Attend site/project meetings and provide quality updates.
• Support implementation of project quality plans and ITPs.
• Maintain accurate quality records throughout lifecycle.
• Support testing, commissioning and handover.
• Act as interface between client, consultants and delivery teams.
