Job summary

Currys is seeking a QA Manager for a 12-month fixed-term contract, based in the UK with hybrid working. You will lead the development and embedding of robust quality processes across product and service lines, ensuring Right First Time delivery and regulatory compliance.

Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you will partner with Engineering, Delivery and Vendor teams to drive continuous improvement and data-driven quality reporting across onshore and offshore partners.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in a senior quality role within commerce or regulated/high-compliance environments.
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, compliance frameworks and continuous improvement.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders across technical and non-technical domains.
  • Experience managing third-party delivery teams across geographies, including offshore/nearshore.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex quality concepts into actionable insights.

Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve Quality processes to support consistent, predictable delivery across all product and service lines.
  • Define and implement quality standards, procedures, and specifications aligned with Currys’ goals.
  • Manage quality assurance across third-party delivery partners, onshore and offshore.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Delivery, and Vendor teams to embed quality practices from ideation to launch.
  • Ensure products and services meet internal benchmarks and external regulatory requirements.
  • Drive adoption of modern quality metrics and reporting frameworks for data-driven insights.
  • Coordinate environment utilisation and provisioning with internal teams and partners.
  • Produce environment improvement roadmaps and maintain audit-ready documentation.
  • Contribute to and advance Currys Quality Standard and Principles.

The Quality Manager will play a critical role in shaping and embedding robust Quality processes that supports our ambition to deliver best-in-class products and services that are Right First Time. Reporting to the Head of Engineering, this role will lead the development and implementation of quality standards, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance across internal teams and external partners, including third-party onshore and offshore delivery teams.

Role overview:
  • Own and evolve Quality processes to support consistent, predictable delivery across all product and service lines.
  • Define and implement quality standards, procedures, and specifications aligned with Currys’ strategic goals.
  • Manage quality assurance across third-party delivery partners, both onshore and offshore, ensuring alignment with Currys’ standards and expectations.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Delivery, and Vendor teams to embed quality practices from ideation through to launch.
  • Ensure all products and services meet internal quality benchmarks and external regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure suppliers align with Currys’ quality expectations and compliance standards.
  • Drive the adoption of modern quality metrics and reporting frameworks to enable data-driven reporting.
  • Coordinate environment utilisation, provisioning with internal delivery colleagues and partners.
  • Produce clear environment improvement roadmaps based on learnings from active programmes in test.
  • Maintain clear documentation and change control processes to support audit readiness and traceability.
  • Contribute to, and drive adoption of the advancement of the Currys Quality Standard and Principles

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience (3+ years) in a senior quality role within a commerce, regulated or high-compliance environment.
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance methodologies, compliance frameworks, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders across technical and non-technical domains.
  • Experience managing third-party delivery teams across multiple geographies, including offshore and nearshore models.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex quality concepts into actionable insights.
  • A pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset with the ability to balance governance with agility.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing multiple high value programmes concurrently, and exercising pragmatic self-prioritisation to focus on the right areas.
  • Ability to operate at a details-focussed level where required but report at a management level highlighting key take-aways.
