Job description

My client are a regional civil engineering business. They are seeking to onboard a QA manager to help oversee the delivery of a new contract in North Wales. My client operate across the transport, renewable, coastal and infrastructure sectors.

Responsibilities
  • Create, review, and maintain the project's QA/QC procedures, inspection plans, and quality documentation.
  • Perform regular site inspections to verify work complies with specifications, drawings, and standards.
  • Check material certificates, method statements, ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans), and ensure conformity before work begins.
  • Identify defects, issue NCRs, track corrective actions, and verify that issues are resolved effectively.
  • Communicate quality expectations, hold coordination meetings, and ensure all stakeholders follow QA requirements.
  • Keep updated documentation such as test results, inspection reports, and QA logs, and submit regular quality performance reports.
Requirements
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Diploma or degree in civil engineering or construction management.
  • CSCS card.
  • Previous experience in QA managers role - 5 years +.
  • Skilled in preparing Quality Plans, Inspection & Test Plans, checklists, and managing quality documentation.
  • IT literate.
  • Full UK driving licence.
