Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a Laboratory Analyst to support testing of new equipment and perform laboratory analyses on activated carbon cloth used in industrial applications. The role involves a structured testing regime and reporting findings to support project quality decisions.

Shifts run 7:00 AM–3:00 PM and 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with emphasis on accuracy, documentation, and teamwork across departments to drive continuous improvement and safety adherence.

Qualifications

• Degree or strong A Levels in Chemistry or a Science related qualification.
• Organised and methodical approach.
• Basic understanding of laboratory techniques (training can be provided).
• Good IT skills.
• Clear communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine laboratory tests using standard methods (e.g. gravimetric, titrimetric, UV, AA, ICP-OES, and basic physical testing).
• Check the quality of raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, and effluent.
• Record results clearly and accurately in line with procedures.
• Review test data and report findings.
• Work with other departments to share results and support quality decisions.
• Suggest improvements to testing methods and documentation where needed.
• Support continuous improvement activities.
• Follow all health and safety requirements.
