Job summary

Heidelberg Materials UK are seeking a hands-on Quality Assurance Engineer to support the UK S/4HANA transformation programme during a 12‑month secondment. You will own test coordination, defect management and UAT execution, working closely with business stakeholders, UK Digital teams and the wider project team to drive high standards of delivery.

You will coordinate test cycles, maintain scripts in Jira/Xray, ensure traceability and sustain QA governance.

Qualifications

• Proven QA Engineer experience in project or transformation environments
• Strong hands-on experience with Jira/Xray for test management
• Solid understanding of SIT and UAT test cycles
• Experience with defect lifecycle management
• Strong organisational, analytical, and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Assist QA Manager in planning and preparing UAT test cycles
• Import, organise and maintain test scripts within Jira/Xray
• Review test scenarios for quality, completeness, and traceability
• Coordinate test cycles with business key users and provide test execution support
• Log, triage and manage defects; coordinate retesting and resolution
• Maintain QA dashboards and provide status updates to stakeholders
