Job summary

Unily is hiring a QA Engineer to safeguard high‑quality software delivery. You will design robust test plans, create comprehensive test cases, and run both manual and automated tests.

The role involves collaboration with product and development teams, refining testability, and implementing automated testing to improve efficiency. This hybrid position requires 1–2 days per week in Eashing, Surrey, with occasional London office days.

Qualifications

• Testing experience with web applications.
• Broad experience in a range of testing types and techniques.
• Professional test automation experience.
• Knowledge of Playwright ideally using C#.
• Knowledge of GIT.
• API Testing experience (manual or automated) including use of tools such as Postman.
• Awareness of industry standards and latest developments with test automation tools and practices.
• Knowledge of VSTS or Azure DevOps or equivalent.
• Experience with an Agile environment where Development teams practice Continuous Delivery.
• Experience with mobile automation (Appium).
• Experience with non-functional testing.
• Experience of Azure or similar cloud services.
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
• Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
• Passion for quality with high standards for personal and collective achievement.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product and development teams during the design phase to identify potential issues early in the process.
• Participate in refinement sessions to provide input on testability and potential edge cases.
• Design and create comprehensive test cases to ensure all functionalities are examined with appropriate thoroughness.
• Execute manual test cases to identify any discrepancies or issues in the software.
• Analyse test results carefully to determine the root causes of any detected problems.
• Validate and report bugs, providing detailed descriptions and steps to reproduce them.
• Design and execute detailed test plans to cover all aspects of the software's functionality.
• Design and execute automated tests to streamline the testing process and improve efficiency.
• Maintain and update automated tests regularly to ensure they remain effective and relevant.
• Provide support to other areas of the business through issue triage and root cause analysis, answering questions and interacting with customers and prospects where required.
• Maintain awareness of QA processes and best practices to continuously improve testing methodologies.
• Assist in ensuring quality standards are met by collaborating with the development team and providing feedback.
