Job summary

Becrypt is seeking a technically skilled Test Engineer to join our Agile teams, designing and automating test cases, collaborating with developers, and ensuring high-quality software delivery.

The role involves understanding the product, writing automated/manual tests, and executing various test types in a hybrid work setting (Becrypt Head Office/Home). A STEM degree and strong communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years’ experience working as a tester.
• Demonstrable ability to write efficient and effective manual tests.
• A strong interest in the technical side of information technology and software development.
• Working knowledge of Ubuntu or other Linux distributions.
• Use of defect tracking tools (Jira, Xray).
• Good understanding of API testing.
• Basic networking knowledge.
• Basic understanding of Windows infrastructure such as Active Directory, Certificate Services.
• Comfortable using command line tools.
• Debug / troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication, both written and verbal.
• STEM degree or similar equivalent qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of the product and system under test.
• Design, write, and maintain automated and manual test cases.
• Execute test plans including scripted, exploratory, regression, and integration testing.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve defects. Participate actively in Agile processes like sprint planning and reviews to ensure quality integration. Evaluate test results, document defects, and report status to the team.
