Job summary

Alder Grove House Limited in the United Kingdom is seeking a QA/SDET to ensure our shipped software matches the specification. You will write and run end-to-end tests across multiple stacks, starting from the Next.js frontend to the Rust CLI and Phoenix API.

You will design test plans in English before any assertion is written, collaborate with engineers and clients to agree what done means, and smoke-test releases across all stacks.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a dedicated QA / SDET role, or 5+ years as an engineer who shipped tests alongside features.
• E2E testing fluency — Playwright strongly preferred.
• Light scripting across at least two languages (reading, not writing production features).
• A patient eye for inconsistency: spacing, copy, state, race conditions, keyboard navigation.
