The Difference you will make

As a QA Engineer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring Bauer’s digital products meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and user satisfaction. You’ll work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to implement robust testing practices, support incident management, and contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes. Your work will directly impact the performance and stability of our platforms across multiple devices and markets.

Your role

You’ll contribute to Bauer’s QA efforts across backend, app, web, and voice-connected solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Execute manual and automated testing across multiple platforms (web, mobile, connected devices).
  • Collaborate with development and product teams to align QA efforts with business goals.
  • Participate in incident management and out-of-hours support rotas.
  • Maintain and improve QA documentation, standards, and tooling.
  • Support performance testing, risk mitigation, and test coverage optimisation.
  • Contribute to automation improvements and CI/CD integration.
  • Engage in requirement analysis and provide QA insights during planning stages.

The Skills you will bring

Required:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a QA role, ideally within the media or audio streaming industry.
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing tools, and automation frameworks.
  • Experience testing in cloud-hosted environments (e.g. AWS).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and scripting for automated testing.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Certified in QA methodologies and security practices.
  • Experience with security testing and compliance standards.
  • Knowledge of cloud services (e.g. EC2, Lambda, CloudFormation).
  • Ability to produce clear technical documentation and reports.

Working Pattern/Location

Remote-first role based in the UK. Full-time, permanent position. Participation in in-hours and out-of-hours incident support is required.
