Job summary

Remotestar is seeking a Quality Assurance Tester (Python) for an on-site role based in Chennai. You will design and execute manual and automated tests for Python-based applications and services, ensuring that software meets defined quality standards and functional requirements.

The QA Tester will analyze requirements, document defects, and collaborate with developers and product teams to support timely resolution.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of QA and automation testing experience.
• Strong Python and Pytest knowledge is mandatory.
• Solid SQL and API/Web application testing experience.
• Experience with test plans, test cases, and test reporting.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and SDLC/STLC processes.
• Experience with version control tools like Git, and Jira usage.
• Good communication skills; healthcare/pharma domain exposure is a plus.
• Exposure to LLM applications is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Quality Assurance Tester (Python) role based in Chennai. The role involves designing and executing manual and automated test cases for Python-based applications and services, ensuring that software meets defined quality standards and functional requirements. The Quality Assurance Tester will analyze requirements, identify test scenarios, perform test execution, document defects, and collaborate closely with developers and product teams to support timely resolution. Responsibilities include maintaining test documentation, contributing to test plans and regression suites, participating in code and design reviews from a QA perspective, and continuously improving testing processes and coverage. The role also requires clear communication of test results, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders and adherence to established QA methodologies and best practices.

Qualifications

• Should have 4+ experience in QA and Automation testing.
• Should have good knowledge in Python, Pytest is mandatory.
• Should have good knowledge on SQL.
• Should have good knowledge on Testcases /Test Plan /Test strategies /Test Reporting.
