Job summary

Greencore Spalding is seeking a Quality Auditor to audit and improve site quality systems, supporting production teams to ensure food safety and compliance. You will work closely with QA Supervisors to maintain standards across the three manufacturing facilities.

The role is site-based with permanent contract and a nights-based shift pattern; you will monitor quality controls, assist with investigations, and help drive continuous improvement with practical technical guidance.

Responsibilities

• Audit compliance with QMS, GMP, and HACCP, raise non-conformances and drive corrective actions to closure.
• Identify root causes to reduce repeat non-conformances.
• Conduct traceability audits and present findings clearly.
• Complete sampling activities to schedule (microbiological, nutritional, swabs, organoleptic).
• Prepare, facilitate, and trend taste panels; escalate out-of-spec results and recommend improvements.
• Calibrate factory measurement equipment and manage out-of-tolerance actions.
• Support investigations into complaints, incidents and out-of-spec results through audits and data analysis.
• Support NPD trials and product launches, including testing and shelf-life assessment.
• Provide day-to-day technical support to factory teams, audits and customer visits.
• Contribute to Technical KPI delivery through audits and proactive improvement actions.
• Work safely at all times, promoting health, safety and environmental standards.

What you’ll be doing

In this busy and hands-on role as a Quality Auditor, you’ll audit, monitor, and continuously improve quality systems and procedures across site operations. Working closely with operational teams, you’ll provide practical technical support while maintaining and promoting quality and food safety standards in line with Greencore, customer, and legal requirements, with guidance from the QA Supervisor or Manager.

Role Accountabilities

• Audit compliance with QMS, GMP, and HACCP, raising clear non-conformances and driving corrective actions to closure
