Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in London is seeking a Software Engineer for the Model Risk Governance & Review (MRGR) team.

You will develop tools for MRGR Analytics to improve efficiency and reduce duplication of effort, focusing on data controls, testing, and user feedback. Responsibilities include building data pipelines in Python to fetch, transform, and deliver data; integrating model performance monitoring; and exploring LLM-enabled workflows with cross-functional partners.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics discipline with significant exposure to programming.
• Proficient in Python and knowledge of Tornado framework, TypeScript, React.
• Strong understanding of software architecture and object‑oriented design patterns.
• Strong communication skills to interface with cross‑functional teams.
• Risk and control mindset; ability to assess user needs and design solutions.
• Experience with enterprise‑level AI-assisted development tools and secure coding practices.
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows.

Responsibilities

• Build data pipelines to fetch, validate, transform, and deliver data to applications, enabling reliable downstream analytics, automation, and reporting.
• Integrate ongoing performance monitoring requirements for models into business applications, primarily in Python.
• Leverage developer productivity tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to accelerate delivery, improve code quality, and enhance documentation and testing.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify opportunities for LLM integration and develop solutions that leverage LLM capabilities.
• Build intelligent solutions to support MRGR staff activities, including workflow automation and insight generation.
• Leverages enterprise‑authorized AI coding tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity, while validating outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards.
