Job summary

Randstad Technologies Recruitment is seeking a Python/Django Developer for a 12-month contract across UK locations including London, Manchester, Birmingham, Cardiff and North East. The role offers hybrid working with 2 days in the office and a daily payrate of £600-£720 inside IR35 via Umbrella.

You will lead end-to-end design and delivery using Python and Django within an Agile, multidisciplinary team. Strong system design and architecture skills, plus solid communication, are essential.

Role: Python / Django Developer

Type: 12 Months Contract

Location: London / Manchester / Birmingham / Cardiff / North East, UK

Working Model: Hybrid (2 days per week in Office)

What You'll Do:

• Lead end-to-end system design and delivery using Python and Django.
• Write secure, test-driven code and maintain live service performance.
• Work in an Agile, multidisciplinary team aligned with Government Digital Service (GDS) standards.

What We Need:

• 5+ years experience (ideally 8-10 years).
• Deep technical expertise in Python & Django.
• Proven system design and architecture capabilities.
• Strong communication and collaborative problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have:

• Previous experience with GDS standards, the public sector or secure defence environments.
