Job summary

Solirius Reply in London seeks an experienced Python Developer with strong data engineering skills to join a high-performing engineering team working on secure, data-intensive systems. You will design, develop and maintain Python applications, and build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines across complex data environments.

You will work with large datasets, ensure data quality and performance, and collaborate with engineers, architects and stakeholders to deliver end-to-end data solutions.

Qualifications

• Significant commercial experience developing Python applications and services.
• Strong data engineering background with scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Proven SQL experience with relational databases and large datasets.
• UK Security Clearance (SC/DV) is mandatory for the role.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Python applications, services and data processing solutions.
• Build and optimise scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for structured/unstructured data.
• Develop robust data processing workflows using Python and modern tools.
• Work with large datasets ensuring data quality, integrity and performance.
• Integrate data from APIs, databases, files and streaming systems.
• Create reusable, well-tested software components and maintainable code.
• Implement automated testing, monitoring, logging and error handling.
• Collaborate with data engineers, software engineers and architects to deliver data solutions.
• Contribute to data platforms, pipelines and supporting infra design.
• Identify opportunities to improve system performance and scalability.
