Pyro Assembly Operative - Oxford

Salary: £26,775

We're looking for a skilled Pyro Assembly Operative to join a leading aerospace manufacturing team in Oxford. This is a hands‑on role within the Pyro Manufacturing Department, supporting the production of critical safety components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle explosive materials, goods, and components safely and responsibly.
  • Accurately read and interpret assembly drawings and production documents, ensuring all Part Numbers, Drawing Issues, Working Practices, and Batches are correctly identified and recorded.
  • Assemble components to required tolerances with precision.
  • Use appropriate weighing equipment and tools for specific batches.
  • Conduct self‑inspection and quality checks of your own work.
  • Maintain accurate records in SAP to track work in progress.
Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience in production or manufacturing environments.
  • Basic understanding of engineering drawings.
  • Awareness of health & safety policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Team player who can also work independently.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately.
