Job summary

Wakefield Talking Therapies is seeking an experienced Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner Team Leader on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will lead a friendly, supportive team, deliver low-intensity interventions and manage staff development and performance.

The role requires accreditation as a PWP, NHS Talking Therapies experience and strong leadership capabilities within a multidisciplinary setting. A not-for-profit health and social care provider environment supports ongoing professional

Qualifications

• Accredited Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner status.
• Experience of working within an NHS Talking Therapies service.
• Excellent written, verbal and telephone communication skills.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience of supervising/mentoring colleagues or leading small teams.
• Ability to contribute in a multidisciplinary leadership team.
• Commitment to staff wellbeing and service improvement.
• Completion of an accredited IAPT/Talking Therapies Supervision Course (essential).

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based low-intensity interventions in line with Talking Therapies guidance.
• Provide clinical case management and line management support to staff.
• Support recruitment, induction and ongoing development of team members.
• Collaborate with the leadership team to ensure safe, effective service delivery.
• Monitor waiting lists, caseloads, groups and capacity for timely access to treatment.
• Utilise service data to support improvement initiatives and targets.
• Build relationships with internal/external stakeholders for integrated patient care.
• Champion staff wellbeing, inclusion and development within the team.
• You will be required to work in the service for this role.

Job description

At Wakefield Talking Therapies, we provide evidence-based psychological therapies to support people experiencing common mental health difficulties. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) Team Leader to join our friendly and supportive team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.,

• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based low-intensity interventions in line with Talking Therapies guidance.
• Provide clinical case management and line management support, encouraging the development, wellbeing and performance of staff.
• Support the recruitment, induction and ongoing development of team members.
• Work collaboratively with the wider leadership team to ensure safe, effective and responsive service delivery.
• Monitor and manage waiting lists, caseloads, groups and individual capacity to ensure timely access to treatment.
• Use service data and performance information to support service improvement initiatives and achieve key operational targets.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support integrated patient care.

You will have:

• An accredited Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner.
• Experience of working within an NHS Talking Therapies service.
• Excellent written, verbal and telephone communication skills.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities, with the confidence to manage competing priorities.
• Experience of supporting colleagues through supervision, mentoring or informal leadership responsibilities.
• The ability to build positive working relationships and contribute effectively as part of a multidisciplinary leadership team.
• A commitment to staff wellbeing, service improvement and delivering high-quality patient care.
• Completion of an accredited IAPT/Talking Therapies Supervision Course (essential).
