Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic, efficient and organised individual to join our friendly administration and clerical team in the pharmacy procurement office based at Wrexham Maelor Hospital. The role will provide administrative support to the procurement function. The successful applicant will work as a member of the procurement team responsible for the processing of invoices for payment, setting up payment runs to finance and other administrative duties relating to the role. The post holder must have the ability to work as part of a busy team and have a working knowledge of administrative and finance functions.

Main duties of the job

You will work as part of the pharmacy purchasing team to ensure the timely, efficient purchase of the Health Board's pharmaceutical requirements and prompt payment of invoices. You will review existing pharmaceutical requirements and predict future needs. The post holder will be responsible for the day‑to‑day routine maintenance of purchasing information and systems used for the management of purchasing to comply with good practice.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
