Job summary

Charter Controls is seeking an experienced Purchasing & Inventory Manager to own purchasing and stock management for a growing portfolio. You will handle day-to-day purchasing, maintain stock levels across 6,000+ SKUs and manage supplier relationships, reporting to the Joint Managing Director for Finance and Operations.

Qualifications

• Previous purchasing experience is essential.
• Experience with stock management or inventory planning software.
• Ability to manage a large SKU portfolio and supplier base.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to produce management reports.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day purchasing from UK and international suppliers.
• Oversee inventory for 6,000+ SKUs and ~£600k stock value.
• Raise and manage purchase orders; monitor lead times and deliveries.
• Develop stock reports and procurement analysis for decisions.
• Collaborate with logistics and freight providers; optimize stock levels.
• Maintain supplier information and pricing records in systems.
• Support supplier price reviews and negotiations.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive process improvements.
• Use Excel and stock tools to forecast and plan purchasing needs.
• Ensure accurate purchasing data in Dynamics 365 BC.
