Responsibilities

  • Processing orders with supply chain for products and materials.
  • Ensuring lead times and delivery dates from supply chain are managed and communicated.
  • Calculate part requirements from work schedules.
  • Assist the manufacturing manager with maintaining stock control.
  • Ensure all costs are entered on the ERP software.
  • Liaising with suppliers over lead times and identifying solutions.
  • Assisting with goods in administration and following up with suppliers.
  • Maintaining excellent communication with other departments.
  • Ensure customer is kept up to date with order status.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers.
Job description

  • To calculate part requirements from work schedules.
  • Assist the manufacturing manager with maintaining stock control and reorder levels.
  • Ensure all costs are entered on the ERP software and prices checked prior to ordering.
  • Liaising with suppliers over lead times and identifying the most cost effective and efficient solutions for the requirements.
  • Assisting the manufacturing manager with goods in administration and following up with suppliers any items damaged/omitted as necessary.
  • Maintaining excellent communication with other departments to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Ensuring customer is kept up to date with order status and delivery date to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to negotiate favourable terms and pricing.
