Job summary

Morson Group is seeking a Purchase Ledger Administrator to join a busy finance team in the United Kingdom. The role offers exposure to both purchase and sales ledger activities, helping you develop responsibilities across transactional finance functions.

You will process invoices, payments, and customer receipts, liaising with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate processing and reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience in a transactional finance environment is preferred.
• Experience across purchase ledger and/or sales ledger processes.
• Strong understanding of invoice processing and supplier statement reconciliation.
• Experience raising customer invoices and handling payment queries.

Responsibilities

• Maintain purchase ledger and process financial transactions within defined procedures and timescales.
• Process all electronic invoices.
• Obtain invoice approvals from relevant internal departments.
• Direct costing of all approved invoices that are not matched to a purchase order.
• Deal with all queries promptly and liaise with supplier or internal departments to resolve.
• Ensure supplier reconciliations are completed monthly and resolve any queries.
• Maintain good relationships with suppliers and internal departments.
• Support the Team Leader in resolving debit balances and aged creditors.
• Resolve supplier emails and calls professionally.
• Support the Team Leader with any ad-hoc tasks.
• Enter delivery tickets and check invoices against the cost system.
• Enter GRN onto the COINS Finance System.
• Produce weekly plant and material cost reports for site management.
