We're looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our team in Kings Hill, UK.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchase Ledger Clerk to support the finance team with day-to-day accounting operations. The role involves accurate invoice processing, supplier liaison, reconciliations, and assisting with payments and reporting to ensure smooth financial operations.

Responsibilities
  • Accurately code, post, and process purchase and manual invoices in line with company policies
  • Manage incoming finance emails, resolving supplier and internal invoice queries promptly
  • Perform daily and month-end bank reconciliations, including revaluations and petty cash reconciliation
  • Prepare and process supplier payments, payroll deductions, and inter-company allocations
  • Set up and validate new supplier accounts and bank details within HSBCnet
  • Manage group currency transfers, drawdowns, and overnight deposits
  • Download and reconcile statements and invoices from portals, including HMRC Customs
  • Support audits by maintaining accurate records and providing required documentation; assist with ad hoc finance tasks as needed

  • Must be able to demonstrate a high level of accuracy
  • Proficient in Excel and experienced with ERP/accounting systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong team player and ability to collaborate with financial and non-financial stakeholders
Desirable
  • Experience in FMCG, food production, manufacturing or retail environments
  • Microsoft Dynamics experience
