PURCHASE LEDGER CLERK – ROTHERWAS, HEREFORD

We are a family run business with over 5 decades of experience and are dedicated to finding the perfect solutions for our customers.

Currently we are looking for a Purchase Ledger Assistant to provide support to the Accounts Department.

Role Responsibilities
  • Processing purchase invoices against orders.
  • Matching purchase invoices to receipts from goods inwards.
  • Inputting invoices onto monthly daybooks in excel.
  • Assisting and managing bi‑weekly payment runs.
  • Producing and sending remittances.
  • Entering transactions onto ledger spreadsheets.
  • Dealing with supplier queries and resolving issues over the telephone or email.
Requirements
  • Previous Bookkeeping experience is preferrable but not essential, as training can be provided.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel is essential, and the ability to work accurately and methodically.
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work with complete accuracy.

Working Hours & Salary
  • Full time position.
  • Hours are based on a 40‑hour week, Monday to Friday 8.00 am to 4.30 pm with half an hour each day for lunch. No weekend, evening or bank holiday working.

  • Free internal training provided as required.
  • Opportunities to progress, promote internally and up skill.
  • Due to the nature of the business being a manufacturing environment, working from home arrangements are not available.
