Job description

Optimum Recruitment Group have been appointed on an exclusive basis to appoint a Purchase Ledger Administrator for our successful client based on the outskirts of Leeds, near Wetherby.

Reporting to the Transactional Finance Manager, you will be responsible for all elements of accounts payable within a wider PL team.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Matching, batching and coding purchase orders and invoices.
  • Processing all invoices and dealing with any associated queries.
  • Dealing with supplier statement reconciliations.
  • Supporting the TFM with payment runs.

This role would suit an experienced purchase ledger clerk or a strong finance administrator. You need to be able to demonstrate the following:

  • A high level of numeracy and data understanding/manipulation.
  • Proven IT skills ideally with some accounting systems experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills as you will be the supplier contact point.
  • Be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Have strong attention to detail and focus on continuous improvement.

Salary band is 24,000 - 28,000 (depending on skills and experience) plus a clearly defined hybrid working policy and generous benefits
